Notas
I suspect it was a Fireball as 3 or 4 flashes appeared like distance lightening flashes (no sound) behind cloud cover so I did not observe a Fireball directly. First 2 or 3 diffuse white flashes occurred before a final red flash 60 - 90 second after first white flash. I was driving my car at the time and covered ~0.75 miles distance travelling ~30 mph ( 1 mile every 2 minutes) for the entire event of 3 to 4 flashes. I checked Real Time Lightening map on the web when I got home ~25 minutes after the suspected Fireball event. There were no lightning flashes reported around the UK at the time. The nearest lightening was in Northern Italy and Southern France so I concluded it was not a distant lightening flash.
