It looked incredible. I stepped out to admire the beautiful orange sunset and this bright blue "fireball" shot across the sky right in front of me with a long white tail longer than the Hight of Rangitoto from my viewing position. Rangitoto was 10km away and is 260m high. The 3-4 seconds felt like ten. It looked so beautiful and stood out with the orange sunrise and Rangitoto volcano in the background.

Just before it disappeared there was a yellow/orange ring that appeared around it.
