I was sitting in a hot tub at David Walley's Resort looking North at the sky. I saw the object as it first entered the atmosphere from the West (towards Lake Tahoe) and it went white with green and blue colors occasionally coming off of the object. At times it had a long white tale. It went behind a wisp of a cloud and backlight it nicely. I still saw the object behind the cloud and some tree branches that had no leaves. It continued to lose altitude and I lost site of it on the horizon towards Virginia City, NV.
