NotasMy son and I were driving (along with my husband and other son in a vehicle a few minutes ahead of us) West on hwy 16, 45 minutes out of Lloydminster, when we all saw this. At first I thought it was a helicopter about to crash, and then I thought for certain someone had set off a firework toward us, before we finally realized it must be a meteor. My son hit the brakes because it seemed like it would hit us, it appeared to have crossed almost directly above the hood of our car. It was very (intermittently) foggy out. Amazing experience!
